genCLEO FSU successfully passed a Climate Emergency Resolution through Leon County! While holding our elected officials accountable, we are working this semester on increasing volunteer recruitment, engagement, and retention, and continue growing our membership from 80 to 850. We are also aiming to give 5 educational presentations in high schools in Leon County. Lastly, our long-term campaign goal is to research and uncover the areas of improvement within Tallahassee's City Bus System and explore the potential and public opinion of solar panels on bus stops.

genCLEO at FIU’s main goals in the Spring 2024 semester are connecting with students about genCLEO’s mission, networking with other environmental clubs, and preparing for a robust Get Out the Vote Campaign for the upcoming election cycle- connecting the dots between the climate crisis and youth vote. They aim to be established as an RSO in the Fall of 2024 and pass a climate action plan in partnership with the Student Government Association.
